March 2022 - The snow came
As we come to the end of March (already) the weather has turned a little wintery overnight and as I write the snow is falling yet again in Leeds.
The whole month has been a busy one for us, with online orders doubling from February and the addition of Plug plant sales and then preparation for opening up for the bedding plant season, I’m not sure we’ve had chance to take a breath. We take it all as a huge positive and are certainly please with how things are ‘growing’.
As I discussed last month supply chain issues are really starting to affect us, we are finding delays continue to increase and when products are available, they tend to be snapped up very quickly. Locally we continue to buy in bulk, so what we have listed tends to be what we actually have, sometimes we are caught out, but we’ll try our best to supply the item or a similar alternative. All I ask is for people to be patient, we are working hard and dealing with uncontrollable problems within the industry, order may take 2-3 days extra at the moment, but we always try to deliver on time.
The plug plant sales are going very well, our first batch is almost sold out and the second batch was listed and made live today, so everything we have at the minute is for sale via the website and Ebay. We are expecting a third batch next week which should include Peppers, Chilis and tomatoes, so if they are of interest, keep checking back.
As I mentioned before, we are working hard to prepare the site for opening to sell a selection of Bedding plants, Perennial’s, vegetable plants and herbs. At the moment we are hoping to open the shop for the Easter Bank Holiday (Friday 15th April) but that will all depend on the weather and what stock we have ready by then.
Thank you again for your business an have a fabulous Easter break.
