Palla Rossa is often called "Radicchio" in Britain. This variety has firm hearts with red/maroon and white leaves for colour in salads.
Chicory is a salad addition similar to lettuce but with a distinct flavour. It is slightly bitter in taste but the blanching of the leaves lessens this bitterness.

Pack Size: 700 Seeds

WHEN TO SOW
April to August

Where to Sow
Outdoors: sow thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm (½") deep, directly into finely-prepared soil, in rows spaced 30cm (12in) apart. Can also be sown underglass early in the year or in autumn into modules filled with seed sowing compost and transplanted out , filling vacant spaces on the plot.

What to do next
Thin out direct sown seedlings to 25-30cm (10-12in) apart between the plants. Keep well watered in dry spells. Transplant modules to the same spacings as above.

Harvest
June to October

Handy Tip
Modules can be transplanted in the autumn under cloches or polytunnels to extend the cropping season.
