Where to sow
Early sowings under glass at 13°C either in trays or modules. Later sowings direct in growing site in drills 1cm (½") deep, 30 cm (12") between rows.
What to do next
Early sowings should be thinned as they grow to 5cm (2") apart, modules thinned to single seedlings to a cell and hardened off quickly before planting out 30cm (12") apart each way. Thin outdoor sowings to 30cm (12") apart.
