Sunflower Helianthus Double Sun King Seeds

Fully double, golden-yellow, 15-25cm (6-10in) blooms with masses of petals for that attractive, fluffy, powderpuff look. Tall strong single stems topped by an almost pollen free uniform bloom, making Sun King an excellent, long lasting cut flower due to its double-ness.

April to May

WHERE TO SOW
Sow seed thinly in drills 45cm (18") apart in well cultivated soil raked to a fine tilth. Germination usually takes 15-21 days.

FOR EARLIER SOWINGS
Sow indoors, individually in 7.5cm (3") pots at 20-25°C. When well grown, gradually acclimatize to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost has passed in a well-drained soil in full sun.

WHAT TO DO NEXT
When large enough to handle, thin to 45cm (18") apart.
